Holograms Protect and Decorate More Coins

After last month’s coverage in Holography News® of how holograms were helping to create a safer marketplace for Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) certified coins, another coin protection programme using holograms has emerged from PCGS.

Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) is a third-party coin and banknote grading company that was launched in 1986. Over 35 years, PCGS has examined and certified more than 52.4 million US and world coins, medals, and tokens with a combined value of over $51.4 billion.

PCGS was selected to create and debut a set of limited-edition holographic labels for a new programme of 2023 Morgan and Peace Dollars. The limited-edition coin holders are available via UltraBreaks, a new company offering coins in sealed packs that reveal which of the coins are inside only after the packaging is unwrapped.
